I had so much fun working with Erin, Eric, and Emmalyn over the past year. I got to watch this sweet girl grow up while capturing it all. I wanted to put up a little post of my favorite shot from each session. I love these guys, and I'm so glad I got to shoot all these for them!

I shot an engagement sesh with Josiah and Danielle back in April, and I just never got around to blogging it. You know, awards nights and graduation, senior trip, family vacation. It's been pretty busy since April! Their wedding is coming up in about 2 weeks, so I wanted to get them a little blog post up before the wedding. Josiah's family has been friends with my family for a long time because of church connections. I can even remember his family visiting with our church when I was really young, I always thought he was the coolest guy because he'd play with me after worship. :) Flash forward 14 or 15 years, and Josiah sent me an email about photographing his proposal to his girlfriend. I wasn't able to shoot the proposal, but we discussed shooting engagements, and then he and Danielle decided to book me for their wedding too! I was over the moon! Typically the bride to be is the one who books the photographer, so for Danielle to trust Josiah's judgment about me shooting one of the most important days of their lives meant so much to me. Josiah, Danielle, and I met in downtown Franklin to shoot their engagements. We started shooting at the Starbucks because of their adorable love story. Complete strangers, Josiah came up to Danielle in this Starbucks as she was reading a book. He asked what she was reading, and the rest is history! *Insert the song "Falling in Love at a Coffee Shop" by Landon Pigg ;) * We made our way down the streets and found so many neat places to tucked away to shoot in. I had an absolute blast and couldn't stop shooting. We only stopped once the sun was gone, or we probably could have shot for hours more! I cannot wait for their wedding. I know it's going to be SO incredible! Have I mentioned how much I love my job lately? Well, I do. Photographing love is such a unique and extraordinary experience that not everyone is blessed with. I am so in love with what I do. "I've been waiting to smile, been holding it in for a while. Take it with me if I can, been dreaming of this since a child. I'm on top of the world." -Imagine Dragons
Carly was the first to ask me to do prom pictures. I was thrilled to be able to take them for her! Carly is an amazing photographer, so she's super creative. She wanted to go to Downtown Dickson for these, and they turned out so great. They're different, but fun, artistic, and unique. I hope all of you guys love these! Thanks so much for letting me do you prom pictures!!! :)
Jorja. There are no words but completely precious and perfect. My bestest sister friend's (yes, that's a real term.) cousin had this perfect little baby! She never cries and is totally content. I love her! I had a lot of fun taking pictures with her! This was the youngest kiddo I've taken pictures of, so that was a new experience! It was fun! Hopefully this will be the first of many baby pictures I get to take! Thanks for letting me take her pictures! :) This was one of, if not *the*, funniest sessions I've ever had! We, ok there were 6 females including me, all squalled in delight every time we used a different headband. We cheered when she looked and smiled. We danced around like hooligans to get her to look my way. (Ok, some of us beat the floor. ;) We could not have been any more ridiculous. Haha! We had a great time though and I hope you all LOVE your pictures of sweet Jorja! :)
Kelsey called me after school a couple of days before prom. Frantically she asked, "I was wondering if you could take our prom pictures?!" So of course I did. :) I love Kelsey! She's a great friend of mine! Amber is another friend of mien and so sweet. Both ladies looked FABULOUS! Both of their dresses totally reflected their personalities! I had such a great time hanging out with the gang. Thank you, thank you, thank you, guys for letting me photograph your special day! P.S. Since all of their prom pictures are on my facebook, http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10150781926234445.425793.104280164444& I'm just going to post a few faaaaavorites!Which are pretty much all of them. ;) Oh, and thanks to my bestest sister friend for life, Morgan, for helping and being my "pack mule." :) You're the best! :) ^^^Hahaha! Doesn't that one just crack you up?! Thanks again, you all!
And..........here I am with Morgan. Working really hard... I'm the one in the awesome glasses, for those who may not know me personally. :) I never got around to sharing this family's whole session... better late than never though! Amanda is a distant cousin of mine. I was so excited when she asked me to photograph her family! Her kiddos are so cute. Amanda put together great outfits for them! Tricia was a little wary of having her picture taken. Amanda told me that Tricia told her, "I am not smiling for a hairy man!" (Previous photo experience...) Thankfully, I am not a hairy man. ;) I'm a 15 year old girl who isn't too bad with kids if I do say so myself. :) I pulled out all the stops to get the shots. Even, "look for the butterfly that hides in my lens!" Haha. I had fun with this cute family. They are really sweet, and I hope family pictures can become a fun, annual occasion! :) Ending with some preciousness right there. ^^ :) Thanks again, guys! :)
I'm trying something new!! In order to get more people to come check out my website, I'm only posting a few pictures to my facebook. The rest will be here in my blog where I can tell the story of the day! I may or may not always do it this way, but I'm going to try it. :)
Brooklyn found me through another senior's pictures that I took. She messaged me, interested in having her own photos done! We set the date and time and met up at Montgomery Bell. Brooklyn brought along her sweet Dotson named Daisy May. How cute is that?! As we were shooting, an older couple came walking by with their dogs, and one was a Dotson colored just like Daisy. The lady called to her dog, and we found out the dog's name was the same exact thing! 2 Daisy Mays with 2 nearly identical Dotsons. It was so funny! Brooklyn is very sweet and beautiful. She's funny and willing to try anything. We had a great time at our shoot because she wasn't afraid to get dirty! She laid on the ground and anything else I wanted. She was so great to work with! Now...for the pictures! Enjoy and please leave me a comment!! |
