They ate cake and laughed then made s'mores and kissed fireside. Amber and Jonny just celebrated their first anniversary!
2 and a half years ago I got an email from the sister of a friend from school. Amber had a brand new engagement ring, and she was ready for engagement pictures and was scouting out a wedding photographer. Flash forward a half dozen shoots and a wedding later, and here we are. Amber and Jonny aren't just clients; they're friends. I am so thankful to be in this business. I get to know and love people in ways I may not have otherwise. Thank y'all for choosing me 2 and a half years ago. <3

These were my first successful minis in quite a while, and they were so fun! I loved getting to play with cute babies all day and photograph them amidst flowers and crates and eggs. :) Thank you to all the parents who brought out their sweet littles! I can't wait for more minis! If you've got a minis theme suggestion, feel free to let me know! :)
Savannah and I played volleyball together in 7th grade. We went to middle school together for a couple of years before she moved to Texas. Savannah was, and still is, the person everyone wanted to be friends with because she was just lovely to be around. She's kind to everyone and her smile is infectious. Savannah and her mom are Facebook friends with me, so I've gotten to see Savannah's world travels via social media. A couple weeks before Christmas Savannah's mom, Mrs. Holly, sent me a message asking if I'd be in town for Christmas. Savannah is currently a missionary based in Hawaii, but the whole family had plans to spend Christmas with Mrs. Holly's parents in White Bluff. Savannah was under the impression Jackson would be with his family in Texas for Christmas. She was wrong! ;) Jackson flew from Texas to Tennessee and landed 8 hours before Savannah's flight landed. Jackson and I met up on Christmas eve to plan his perfect proposal at Savannah's grandparents' farm. Jackson is so sweet, and he wanted everything to be perfect for Savannah. There was a 100% chance of rain scheduled for Christmas morning, so we had multiple rain back-up plans. I assured him that even when it rains all day, the rain seems to stop when it needs to. Later in the evening, when Savannah and her family had made it to Tennessee, Jackson left and stayed in a guest house. On Christmas day morning, there was thunder and heavy rain, and I prayed over and over for the rain to let up. Jackson and I met at her grandparents' house, and he began to set up the rose petals and get ready. By this point, our thunderstorms had turned to barely a mist. We were so thankful! Savannah's grandmother had requested that all the family be dressed for a Christmas picture by 9 a.m. Jackson, hidden from view in the house, stood outside the barn. Savannah was told there was a surprise gift for her in the barn. She walked out to a rose petal trail leading her to Jackson. He got down on one knee, she said yes, and the rest is history! Utter surprise! Savannah had been kept completely in the dark making it all the more exciting! After the proposal and family time, we took a few "engagement announcement" shots. We had to have a fun one to show off the ring! I'm so glad I got to work with these sweet souls. It was s0 fun to be in on the surprise and watch it all take place! It was a different kind of Christmas morning, but it was fantastic.
xoxo Briana This beautiful family of soon-to-be 3 was so fun to work with. Brittany and Vance are the kindest, and sweetest, most genuine people you could imagine. Getting to document their love for each other and their love for their first baby was a dream. They will be the most wonderful parents. I'm so grateful I got to be a part of this time in their lives! Baby is the size of... Brittany is a teacher, and she was so excited to have pictures with some of baby's books. Love their shirts! XOXO
Briana Ali and I are extremely close. When she told me that she and Tristan were going to go to prom together I was over the moon that I'd get to perform my best friend duties as prom photographer. :) The prom theme was Roaring 20's and Ali was set on embodying the glamour of the most fabulous Hollywood star of the 20's. NAILED IT (that was sung right then). Also, people- she did her own makeup. SERIOUSLY. Hit her up for makeup for basically anything because she's amazing. I called Ali right before we were supposed to leave to do pictures and asked her to come take a couple shots in a field because the sun was so beautiful. I'm so glad I asked her to do those because they're my favorite. I could go on and on, but the fact of the matter is that Ali and Tristan looked fantastic, and I had a great time being there. Thank you for allowing me to fulfill my best friend duties. :) I asked Tristan to take a picture of the 4 of us. Savannah came to assist me, and Eliza came to see Ali. I just love this picture of us! XOXO
Briana If you'd told me that the forecast of 100% rain, storms, and likely tornado activity would be 100% wrong, I probably wouldn't have believed you. After weeks of rain in April, I was bracing for the worst. I still didn't believe that I wasn't going to have to take these pictures under every overhead awning I could find. It wasn't until I was shooting their pictures and there were no rain clouds brewing that I realized we were in the clear. The weather that day was a beautiful blessing. McKenzie and Tyler looked wonderful, and I'm so glad I got to take pictures for them. And McKenzie... those EYES, girl. Seriously stunning. Thank you for having me play a small part in your senior prom! XOXO
Briana Morgan and Lindsey are graduating from Harpeth in just a few short weeks! We had a great time shooting for this exciting time! It was so fun to be able to shoot twin seniors together! It really allowed me to step out of the traditional senior shoot. Thank you, girls, for having me! XOXO
