The Experience
If you're looking for a photographer who'll show up at your wedding, take your pictures, go home and tell you "Good luck on your marriage. See you never." I'm not your girl. If you're looking for a photographer who wants to becomes friends with you and wants to get to know you and your love story, I am your girl.
I don't want to be just a photographer. I want to be your go-to for wedding advice and encouragement. Planning a wedding can be difficult, but if you know you've got someone on your side, it'll make everything better! I love when brides text me pictures of their dress or their decor, and I love to be involved in the planning process. I have 25+ weddings under my belt, and I'm always excited to share what I've learned in order for you to have the wedding of your dreams!
My style of shooting is lifestyle wedding photography. I want to document real life and real moments in a styled way. I guide my clients through natural posing and shoot plenty of candids and laughing shots. You don't have to worry about not being good in front of the camera or not knowing what to do. Nearly all my clients have no modeling or posing experience, and so I believe it is my job to walk and talk you through every step.
I am only interested in shooting weddings focused on the marriage to come. I believe in marriages rooted in love and service to each other and to God, and I believe in weddings that reflect that.
Before booking a wedding, I like to meet with my brides face-to-face for coffee. I want to make sure our personalities are a good match and that we can collaborate for the next several months. I love to be involved in the process, and I love to offer help and suggestions. After we've agreed that we are going to make beautiful art together, I like to have an engagement shoot. I feel that this is so important in helping us connect and helping you and your fiancé feel comfortable in front of the camera. It strengthens your trust in me on your wedding day, and then you won't worry about your pictures during the day! Some brides also opt for a bridal or a boudoir shoot, and I love those! It is so fun to put on your wedding dress or put on some pretty lingerie and celebrate who you are. We get to celebrate your beauty and femininity during this exciting time in your life! Love is beautiful, and I love getting to photograph its many facets.
I'd love to hear from you if this sounds like the experience you'd like. Let's meet! I'm always ready for an iced coffee. :)
P.S. I'm looking to add destination weddings to my 2018 wedding season! Locations at the top of my bucket list are Ireland, Hawaii, the Pacific Northwest, Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, Utah, and the East Coast. Contact me for amazing deals on travel weddings!
